03.12.2008  On December 3, Reshetnev Information Satellites Systems (ISS) Company shipped the third Glonass-M satellite (Block 39) to be launched December 25, 2008 to the Baikonur space port, Resetnev ISS reports. The first and the second SVs of three Glonass-M satellites have been delivered to the space port November 18 and November 26 respectively. For the last two years, Resetnev ISS has been producing six Glonass-M SVs per year, in accordance with the Federal GLONASS Program schedule. The upcoming December launch will be the second triple launch for ISS satellites in 2008. The first batch of three Glonass-M satellites developed by Reshetnev ISS was lofted on September 25 earlier this year. At present these SVs are operational in GLONASS constellation.

27.11.2008  Proton-M rocket-carrier intended for orbiting three Glonass-M satellites has been delivered to Baikonur space port, Khrunichev Space Center reports. On September 25, three Glonass-M satellites were successfully lofted by Proton-M. According to the Federal GLONASS Program schedule, next launch is planned for December 25. This will be the 10th launch for Russian Proton in 2008.

11.11.2008  M2M telematics, Ltd. took the "Quality and Safety Assurance" award at the international contest "National security-2008" for designing the first GLONASS-enabled tracking dog collar, M2M telematics, Ltd. informs. "Koni, Vladimir Putin's Labrador, was the first to obtain the collar, which is an experimental mobile objects monitoring model. M2M telematics, Ltd. has developed a technological platform for portable devices on the basis of GLONASS system for the first time in Russia," as pointed out in press release. The device embedded in the collar provides the opportunity to determine the dog location with the help of the built-in small navigation module. The module receives GLONASS signals and transfers them through GSM channel to a dedicated server. The owner can follow the location of his pet in real time mode. The designed technological platform allows launching new devices to the market, assigned for both individual and industrial users, M2M telematics, Ltd. informs.

The Information-Analytical Center (IAC)

The web site primary goal is the information support on the satellite navigation questions based on global systems GLONASS (Russian Federation), GPS (USA) and GALILEO (European Community). A basis of a web site are the results of the IAC work.

The site contains the information concerning the GLONASS and GPS current orbital constellations, Earth maps of the current and daily navigation availabilities, results of the GNSS navigation fields monitoring in Moscow area in a real-time mode and a number of the other data.
